May God grant us this day a whisper of His beauty that sweeps right past our vision and dives deeply like a stream into our world-parched souls. Beth Moore 10/08/2012

WELCOME!

Anyone who knows me at all knows I hate shoes. Well, let me clarify. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE shoes, from the car to the door. And then off. Hence the name of this blog. In reading Ann Voskamp's book One Thousand Gifts recently we are encouraged to look for God in the ordinariness of life, and that our ordinariness can be transformed into the quest for the holy. The shoes should be taken off. Cool. Already there.

Five Minute Friday: She

Five Minute Friday! We are to write without editing for 5 minutes. Our prompt for today: She.

GO

What would it be like to live in the power that scripture tells us we have? To believe it and walk in your day to day life in that way? SHE is a powerful word. SHE can influence the mood in a household. SHE can influence how others feel about themselves, for better or for worse. SHE has the power to make a difference, to wield the Sword of the Spirit like a warrior princess, to encourage others to do the same. SHE has a choice to live either by what the world says she is, or what the WORD says she is.

Scripture tells us we are:
Blessed
Chosen
Adopted
Loved
Redeemed
Forgiven

Let's learn to walk that way.

STOP

POWERFUL...straight to the heart. Now if only some women could get it from their heart to their head and start BELIEVING it.
